Published Curricular Designs
The following sections provide a brief description of Dr. Temple’s online and other digital publications that highlight his design capacities in the interactive digital realms.
Boldly Going
2004 – Recipient of the Subaru National Science Teaching Award, this immersive 5-day unit pulled 8th grade physcial science takes students into an inter planetary mission on a ship that the world forgot with a task no one thought it could do… Save the Earth.
Atom & Quark
This marvel of digital instruction was a menu driven DVD that provided elementary teachers who were not comfortable teaching the more difficult aspects of science. Teachers who used it said it was the “slayer of ADHD.” Over the 3.5 years of development, Dr. Temple produced two volumes of Atom & Quark.
1) Atom & Quark Space Adventure (focused on planetary science, constellations telescopes, and stellar fusion.
2) Atom & Quark: The Table of Secrets (focus on elements and trends of the periodic table)
AREA154
1 Program
5 case files
4 all mankind
This revolutionary curriculum (temple.area154.net) brought the students on a thematically driving real-world journey that centered on teaching these students the skills needed to survive the literal end of the world as we know it. This revolutionary in-class experience is now being revamped to become a more interactive stand alone experience.
ARC AGENT
In Development for 4 years now, the “ARC Agent” experience takes the AREA154 curriculum to the next level. Here students not only learn the key aspects of chemistry, physics, biology and other STEM skills to survive, but they will then put on the VR goggles and actually GO ON THE MISSION!
Publications in Progress
This is a list of publications and course authorships that are currently in progress.
The Eduneering Initiative
This textbook will be the foundation for the upcoming 691, 693, & 695 course series. Sponsored by an OER grant, this textbook containing cutting-edge technology design skills for intrepid teachers will be made open-access for all students who participate in this emphasis program.
691 – Eduneering L1 (Working title)
The course begins with the introduction to various technology implementation designs and the fundamentals of ubiquitous learning styles (uLearning).
693 – Eduneering L2 (Working Title)
Here, teachers develop specific technology design skills associated with HyperDoc interactive instructional tools that can be deployed worldwide to anyone with an internet connection. AI tools are introduced to raise the bar for professionalism in their content production.
695 – Eduneering L3 (Working Title)
The accumulation of this program occurs when students have produced their own series of interactive HyperDocs to support diverse student cognitive and life style needs. A reflective analysis of the course series and defense of their design ideas concludes the courses as well as provides an opportunity for students to prepare explanations for their revolutionary instructional designs.
