Though impressive, the comments from students 5, 10, and 20 years ago about how Dr. Temple had influenced their life choices and careers yield a far more impressive statement regarding Dr. Temple’s near-legendary classroom presence. Moreover, over the 27 years in the classroom, he’s only twice elevated a student to be dealt with by the administration. He prides himself on being able to address, mitigate, and iron out classroom issues on his own without bothering the administration, something that numerous administrators have noted as a huge asset wishing more instructors had the capacity to manager their students in such a way.

Directed and Produced 3 Feature Length Movies
These science fiction stories are based on a small egg that made his screen debut 26 years ago and began a love for video production and storytelling. The Eggs N’ Science movie series became the foundation for thousands of video productions. Most notable, the Atom & Quark Series and the countless videos made for the AREA154 programs that helped make that program that much more immersive for the students.

Tactical Defense and Threat Suppression
While considered a classroom tool in some more unruly learning environments, KRAV MAGA is not generally considered a classroom asset. However, after a few demonstrations, even the most aggressively-minded student thinks twice about lipping off or becoming physically threatening. Dr. Temple studied this martial art, considered by many to be the most aggressive and deadly in existence, earning a black belt over the course of 5 grueling years of training. Though it’s been a number of years since completing that training, skills dull and mastery is an art that requires constant practice.

I Can Fly, I'm a Pilot
While technically that is true, It would be unwise to get in a plane with Dr. T. He’s new at this and frankly seems to have an unhealthy attachment to Top Gun Movies.

The Driver
Not that he needs it, but Dr. Temple has a professional driver’s license. He mastered stunt and pursuit driving along with slide recovery and disaster avoidance. He passed the same course that federal agents and private security take to evasive maneuvers and security training. But why? Who knows.

No Business LIke Show Business
Is it weird that a public school teacher would have this much contact with the entertainment industry? In 2005, Dr. Temple served as a science consultant for CSI:NY during season 4.
Then by accident, he ended up working with ABC studios for a pilot talk show with Tori Spelling – a talk show to take Oprah’s afternoon 4 PM slot. The pilot didn’t get picked up but the executives were baffled by the expert performance given by a high school chemistry teacher.
The following year, Dr. Temple was signed to a show called “A Time of Your OWN” – a show to be run on Oprah Winfrey’s Network. The show fell through because Proctor and Gamble felt the premise of the show was lacking. They weren’t wrong.Â
Dr. Temple then was recruited to be on several online game shows, such as “Ask America” where he won the episode.
2023: John Carpenter’s Suburban Screams – Dr. Temple was selected to tell his story of a house that seemed to contain paranormal activity. Titled “House Next Door,” it streamed on the Peacock service starting back in October of 2023.
